We're always excited to try new paddles, especially those using differentiated manufacturing processes / technology.  The VELOZ pickleball paddles did not disappoint.  Here is a summary of our feedback after playing with the paddles for a few weeks.

- Solid paddle, due to it's construction, but also feels great in your hand.  Honestly, it took me about 20 minutes to get the feel of this paddle.  Given it's edgeless, solid core design, it has a different feel than a paddle using a honeycomb design.  Once I got the feel however, I really loved these paddles.

- Great control, especially with the 16mm models

- Really nice sweet spot on both Ellipse and Quadra models

- Nice pop / power, even with the 16mm model

- Groundstrokes from the baseline or transition zone had nice pace and great control

- Not as much spin as other carbon fiber faced paddles

There are two pickleball paddle styles available: Ellipse (elongated face) and Quadra (square face).  There are also two pickleball paddle thickness options - 16mm and 13mm.  These styles and thickness options are consistent across other paddle brands.

• Elongated face - longer paddle face / longer sweet spot
• Square face - wider paddle face / wider sweet spot
• 16mm - more touch / control
• 13mm - more power

The #1 benefit I loved with the paddle was that the ball went where I wanted it to go.  Novel concept, right?  Meaning, my shots were more accurate using the VELOZ paddle vs. other paddles which I've used.  The control was outstanding.  This precision does wonders at the net during dinking battles.

Overall, I give this paddle a thumbs up recommendation.  One of my favorites!  Actually, I just purchased another 16mm Quadra for myself since I enjoyed it so much and my wife took my other one!  Nice work VELOZ.  Let's go!

THE VELOZ DIFFERENCE

Most mass produced paddles are created by gluing sheets of carbon fiber or fiberglass only to the front and back of the paddle before a standard rail guard is glued in place. Veloz™ paddles are made of the highest quality material and are guaranteed for life from any manufacture’s defects under normal use. Each paddle is quality controlled by an embedded tool mark, identifying when and where each paddle was produced.

The precision tools that create our paddles are machined to precise surface measurements, creating consistent results with every paddle. Paddles are cured for up to 3 hours in an autoclave oven at 140+ degrees, to ensure the most precise surface detail.

Durable graphics are applied and surfaces are rechecked with USA Pickleball-sanctioned equipment to ensure total compliance and maximum performance.
