It might seem odd to some, but pickleballs can vary in cost and performance.  For those new to pickleball, we recommend softer pickleballs - ones which are a bit more forgiving and are slower during play.  Here are two recommendations to consider:

Franklin X40 - there are great pickleballs used by recreation and tournament players.  It's softer than a Durafast 40 or CORE Pickleball.  A fun, all around pickleball.

ONIX Fuse Outdoor Pickleball - these pickleballs are soft and thicker in structure, really good for beginners.  They have a nice feel when you hit a shot and are a bit more foregiving than the Franklin X40 pickleballs.
