OVERALL

The Gearbox CX14H pickleball paddle is unique.  Our first impression was that it was light, but felt "very fast" for kitchen engagements.  After the first few dinks, the control was quite noticeable.  It's very soft to the touch, giving confidence when dinking and resetting.  The paddle also provides nice spin

Although not a power pickleball paddle, it does provide some pop and the gritty face allows for some nice topspin via groundstrokes and rolls.

STABLE WITH A SOFT FEEL

The CX14H shape utilizes a thicker 14mm stability profile. The paddle is excellent for players coming to experience Gearbox’s SST Technology, from a lesser performing thick honeycomb core paddle.

The New CX1H paddle has a longer handle and combined with a shorter, Quad shaped face. This combination of a longer lever with a smaller head, gives this paddle a unique play style, making it quick and maneuverable despite being 14mm. It offers the agility of an 11mm paddle with the stability and feel of a thick core paddle. The feel is surprisingly fast in your hands. The longer handle easily accommodates a two-handed shot.
